Kelp forest exhibit was set up like a tv show... in that it showed visually what a kelp forest looked like (with a model) and had information on what it feeds what lives there how it ties in with global warming etc.
- Besides providing food for animals,humans use it for food fertilizer, and alginates.
- Sea otters are effected by pollution and arent there to protect kelp from being eaten by the urchins.
- Global warming causes warmer waters, and violent storms(which loosen the kelp). Hotter water also makes it difficult because kelp needs cold water.
- Harvesting destroys fish nurseries and nutrients.
